Landon Bayless-Edwards, PhD graduate student with Dr. James Groome, received a Travel Grant Award from the Biophysical Society to present her research at the national meetings in San Francisco, California, on February 21, 2018.

Seminars

Dr. Ted Graber, University of Texas Medical Branch (Physiologist Faculty Candidate) will present a seminar, “Functional Decline with Aging: Preclinical Models for Mechanisms and Solutions,” Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in Lecture Center 10 at noon.

Dr. Jeff Trimarchi, Department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology, Iowa State University (Cell Biologist Faculty Candidate) will present a seminar, “Single cell analysis of the development and diversification of retinal neurons,” Thursday, February 1, 2018, in Lecture Center 10 at noon.

Dr. Brad Winters, Department of Neuroscience and Center for Learning and Memory, The University of Texas at Austin (Physiologist Faculty Candidate) will present a seminar, “Dendritic integration and inhibitory synaptic plasticity in sound localization circuits,” Monday, February 5, 2018, in Lecture Center 10 at 1 p.m.

Dr. Kinta Serve, Department of Natural Sciences, Mars Hill University (Cell Biologist Faculty Candidate) will present a seminar, “Examining Cellular and Immunological Contributions to Pleural Fibrosis,” Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in Lecture Center 10 at noon.

Dr. Reza Zadegan, Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering, Boise State University (Cell Biologist Faculty Candidate) will present a seminar, “Mastering at Nanoscale: Where Nanotechnology Meets Biology,” Thursday, February 8, 2018, in Lecture Center 10 at noon.

Dr. Devaleena Pradhan, Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology, University of California, Los Angeles (Physiologist Faculty Candidate) will present a seminar, “Tissue androgen signaling regulates life history transitions in birds and fish,” Thursday, February 8, 2018, in Lecture Center 10 at 4 p.m.

Payroll Information

Our pay period ends Saturday, February 10. Please be sure to submit your time by Monday, February 12 at noon. This gives your approver time to approve your time card and fix any problems by Tuesday, February 13 when time cards are due to Payroll.
