Biographical Sketch

Jonathan has worked with the US Geological Survey and Idaho State University in the Intermountain West for almost a decade, with most of that time spent working across the Great Basin. His research has primarily focused on the behavior and habitat use of upland game birds in California, Nevada, and Idaho. In 2017, he completed his Master’s thesis using data from that work. Jonathan is currently working on his Doctor of Arts degree at ISU with Dr. David Delehanty as his advisor. Jonathan’s current research examines community dynamics of birds and small mammals within different land-cover types and in relation to disturbances. Jonathan’s goal after graduation is to pursue a career teaching biological, ecological, and animal behavioral concepts to university students. He has a particular interest in teaching avian ecology and avian behavior.
