ISU is committed to helping you succeed!
A great team of academic advisors is available to support all undergraduate students in their pursuit of academic goals.
Freshmen, especially first term freshmen, have an Academic Coach assigned to them. Academic Coaches teach ACAD 1104 - First Year Transition, provide advice, and assist new freshmen in successfully transitioning to university life. Contact First Year Transition to schedule an academic coach advising appointment.
Central Academic Advising (CAA) coordinates general academic advising services and support for the ISU community of students, faculty, and staff. CAA carries out specific advising responsibilities for sophomores, transfer students, students on probation, pre-Social Work majors, and undecided sophomore, junior, and senior students.
The CAA advising team is committed to making your university experience successful and rewarding. Walk in assistance is available Monday through Friday, 8 to 4, or you can make an appointment.
The College of Technology (COT) is the advisor of record for students pursuing a technology degree or certificate. Counselors are available in the COT COT Student Services Office located in the Roy F. Christensen Building #48, (208) 282-2822.
Check your ISU email regularly for important and helpful information from CAA and your Academic Coach.
Looking forward to seeing you throughout the semester!
