1.  What are the eight ways that Rex fails to make a law?  How does he defend the view that
        in each case Rex has tried but failed to make law?

2.  Consider Austin's positivist theory of law.  How do these "eight ways" pose problems
        for his theory?  How might a positivist try to overcome these problems?
