Question: Republic,
Book II (358a to finish)
1. Later in Book II, Socrates begins his response to Glaucon.
His
strategy is first to understand
the nature of justice in a city,
so that from this he might conclude something about the nature
of justice in the individual.
He then begins to "construct" an imaginary city. What are
the
main features of this city?
What
are the main political divisions in it?
