Plate Streaking: My first attempt at animation; built entirely with Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready. Created for Susan Galindo to illustrate streaking a petri dish (plate) for online students. This animation is currently being rebuilt using Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Flash. Currently under construction to accompany this animation is an interactive activity for online students to try streaking a plate. Using the Flash activity, students will be able to use their mouse as an inoculation loop to streak a virtual plate.

Pipetting: An interactive activity created for Susan Galindo to illustrate proper pipetting techniques, give a basic overview of calibration procedures, and offer an interactive review for online students.

Online Cultures: A Flash slideshow created for Susan Galindo to showcase her creation and implementation of an online plate reading activity for distance learning students.

Electrophoresis Lab Exercises: Interactive activities created for Susan Galindo to give chemistry students the opportunity to interpret data from electrophoresis gels and densitometer tracings.

Interactive Standards of Procedure: An interactive form of the laboratory SOPs for students to review.

Blood Gases Lab Exercises: Interactive simulations created for Susan Galindo allowing chemistry students the chance to step-through the process of analyzing blood samples and interpreting the results.

Hemocytometer Activities
Hemocytometers (or hemacytometers) are used in laboratories for counting cells.
These online activities will allow distance learning students to practice counting different types of cells without having to travel to a lab.
