Idaho Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation
(IPARC)

Fall 2004 Meeting

The fall meeting of Idaho Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (I PARC) will be held on Friday, November 12th in conjunction with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game at the Morrison-Knudsen Nature Center auditorium. The meeting will begin informally at 8:00 am. Formal sessions will take place from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:30 – 5:00 pm. Agenda items will include an update on National PARC activities by Chuck Peterson (ISU), a description of the Habitat Management Guidelines for the Northwest by David Pilliod (Leopold Wilderness Research Institute), and a description of Idaho’s Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Strategy (CWCS) by Rita Dixon (IDFG). Most of the meeting will provide time for meeting participants to contribute and discuss the information needed for the Idaho CWCS, species status, including distribution and status of Idaho amphibians and reptiles, locations of key habitats, and descriptions of threats, survey and research needs, conservation actions, and monitoring plans.

Here is a description of the information that IDFG needs to include in the Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Plan. Our discussion will focus on the first five elements.
