I work for the Physics Dept. at Idaho State University as a webmaster, and over the past year, I have been working on a project to deliver distance learning on the internet through the Idaho Virtual Classroom. I am mainly responsible for technical issues, HTML, graphics and multimedia authoring, Java and Javascript programming, and server administration of our web server (Netscape Enterprise Server 3.0 running on HP-UX).
We are offering courses over the web for college credit starting in Fall 1997. The course that I did most of the development work on is an introductory meteorology course called Weather & Climate. A registration and information request form is available at http:\\www.physics.isu.edu\weather\inform.htm.
I also work at Pebble Creek Ski Area in the winter, as a snowboard instructor. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!
I used to be a musician with a cool band called 5.11 Jimmy, which recently self-destructed due to the band getting to big for its britches, isn't that just the way it goes. I will be playing again soon.
I also design web pages on my own, so if you need some help or would like a commercial site designed, drop me a line. Here are some pages I am proud of.
- The Sun Valley Sound Institute
- ISU Dept of Physics
- my very own mulitple pages ... and many more.
- Weather & Climate -- Physics 299
