Read Standards #11 on page A25 and #11 and #12 on page A28-29.

Write 1-2 double-spaced pages answering the following questions regarding these standards.  You may address the questions in any order you feel is reasonable for the flow of your paper.

1. Do you feel the content and skills addressed in these standards are reasonable for the grade levels for which they are listed?  Why or why not?
2. Do you feel prepared to teach the concepts listed under these standards?  Why or why not?
Give 3 specific examples of what you could do if you did encounter a topic in which you were unsure of your preparation or could not answer a question a student asked.
3. What are the titles of 3 other standards listed on pages A23-29 that are connected to the probability and statistics standards you read?  (Include at least 1 from the Grades 1-4 standards and at least 1 from the Grades 5-8 standards.)  Give specific examples of ways that each is connected to probability and statistics.

Your grade will be based on content (i.e. the soundness and depth of the points you make and conclusions you draw) and style (i.e. clarity of writing and explanations).
