These
do not guarantee anything about the questions that will appear on the
actual exam. The sample will be most useful to you if used like
a real exam and taken in 55 minutes with no books or notes available,
then graded using the solutions available.
Sample old finals and additional practice problems from a few
years ago (when there was a slightly different edition of the textbook)
are
available here
and a solution to the one from Fall, 2002 is available here. (For others, try
comparing solutions with someone else to decide if you are correct and
bring to me or ask in class questions on any problems you are still
unsure about.)
These finals will not
necessarily resemble the actual final and will be most useful if taken
in 2 hours with no books or notes available.
