Consulting

Dr. Howlett provides consulting services in the areas of grant writing, instructional design and technology as well as data collection, analysis, and reporting. Her consulting career has spanned nearly twenty years and has included projects for individuals, small businesses, and large companies both in higher education and private business.

Instructional Design and Technology

With a PhD in Adult and Organizational Learning and a Master of Science in Instructional and Human Performance Technology, as well as a fifteen year career as an instructional designer, Dr. Howlett has unique expertise and depth in the fields of instructional design and technology. She worked for ten years as a professional development specialist, training university faculty members in the effective use of technologies related to online education. She supervised a staff of personnel who provided support and training to faculty members from many different fields of endeavor, ranging from business, to health professions, to social sciences, dance, and others. She is an experienced online educator, working in online learning since 1996, and has designed/developed many online courses as well as programs.

Research

Dr. Howlett has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies for interview/observational and descriptive or mixed-methods studies. She specializes in online survey administration and customized reporting. She provides the following services:
