Resources for Clinicians

1.  Decision Tree - having trouble separating out articulation (phonetic) problems from phonological (phonemic) problems in children you're working with?  Try out my decision tree which may help.

2.   Speech Perception Test - concerned that a child's error (or errors) may be at least partly based in problems hearing the difference between what they say and what they're supposed to be saying.  Here's a form (with instructions) that is a slighltly modified version of the form developed by John Locke for his now famous Speech Production - Perception Task that should help.

3.   Listening Lists - do you use Barbara Hodson's approach to phonological intervention?  Never sure what the child should be listening to during auditory bombardment?  Here is a comprehensive set of listening lists which I developed for just that purpose. It includes some discussion of the motivation for the content as well as instructions for use by both clinicians and parents.
