I have been at Idaho State University for 11 years. I was born and raised in the Detroit area. I got my Bachelor's Degree at Wayne State University in Detroit. I was a member of the debate team at Wayne and found a great mentor in George W. Ziegelmueller. He helped me find my niche--I realized that I loved argument theory and *gasp* school.

So, I moved to Bloomington, Indiana and got my M.A in Communication. At Indiana University. I studied argumentation theory, rhetorical theory & criticism and had a great advisor, Ron Lee. I also worked with the debate team at I.U. and learned to love college basketball (I think it's the law at I.U.).

My love for school didn't die, so I moved to Penn State for a few years and completed a Ph.D. in Communication. I studied more argumentation theory, rhetorical theory & rhetorical criticism. Gerry Hauser taught me how much I love the Greeks, Dick Gregg taught me that clarity is a virtue, and my advisor, Bill Rawlins, taught me about interpersonal communication, friendship, music, and the importance of revealing some of your self in the classroom. At Penn State I also learned to love college football (it's the law) and that my love of good music should be nurtured.

I taught at the University of Richmond and coached the debate team. And then, we moved to Idaho State University. My family and I have found a lot of love, happiness, and professional & personal fulfillment at I.S.U. With small classes, good facilities, great colleagues, and gorgeous surroundings, I.S.U. is a great place to live and work.
