 Clinical & Training Activities

I conduct and supervise an adult therapy practicum in our training clinic with  a special emphasis on substance abuse (APA certification). I also supervise psycho-educational evaluations conducted for the university ADA office. My therapeutic orientation is largely cognitive-behavioral. I received my diplomate in clinical psychology (ABPP) in 2002. I am also a regional HOPE trainer, with interests in psychosocial issues related to HIV disease. As Clinic Director, I am concerned with practicum and service issues related to training clinics. I am an executive committee member of the Association of Directors of Psychology Training Clinics (ADPTC), and have presented nationally on ethics training and supervision.

Professional Service

I am a long term member of the American Psychological Association (APA) with membership in Divisions 2, 12, 31, and 50. Since coming to Idaho, I have been very involved in the Idaho Psychological Association (IPA). I am currently Chair of the IPA Ethics Committee and served as the Idaho Representative to APA Council and Past-President. In addition, I serve on the Regional Advisory Committee for Substance Abuse which advises Idaho's Department of Health and Welfare regarding community needs and publicly funded treatment services.

I am very grateful to have received the John Cambareri Award for service and commitment to Psychology in Idaho, and an APA Presidential Citation for career contributions to the Profession of Psychology.
