Carolyn received her M.S. and Ph.D. from Idaho State University in cardiovascular physiology. She is currently a scientific instructional designer for the Biological Science department. She has developed and is currently teaching several Online science courses - General Biology (Biology 101), Anatomy & Physiology (Biology 301 & 302), and Pathobiology (Biology 305).

Carolyn became a registered medical technologist (ASCP) in 1998.   In addition, she is the technology computer consultant for the Clinical Laboratory Science Program.
