On Tuesday, March 22,  Sigma Xi , the National Scientific Research Society,  will be
hosting a campus visit by

Byron Caughey, Senior Investigator,
NIAID, NIH, Rocky Mountain Labs
Hamilton, Montana

to speak on Mad Cow (TSE) and other related Prion diseases.

He will offer two lectures,  one aimed at the general public:

"BSE, chronic wasting disease, scrapie and CJD: the perils of prion diseases"
at 7 PM in Physical Sciences Complex Room 140,   with refreshments served in the
lobby at 6:30 PM,

and  one aimed at the scientific community:

"The most infectious prion protein particle and its invasion of neurons"

at 4 PM  in  Physical Sciences Room 108. 

Both lectures are open to the public, and free of charge.
