Women Studies Program at Idaho State University
Purpose
The Women Studies scholarship is designed to support female students who have declared a minor in Women Studies and who show creativity in their academic pursuits. We welcome entries from any woman who has found a unique and creative way to pursue her research or academic goals.
Eligibility
- Women who are declared Women Studies minors (forms to declare the Women Studies minor are available in the History Office, LA 332 or LA 341 )
- Minimum 2.5 GPA while at ISU
Application Process
To apply please compile the following materials:
- Cover page with name, contact details, year at ISU, current GPA, and declared major (if any)
- A one page written statement describing the relationship between your creative endeavors and your interest in the field of Women’s Studies
- Two representative samples of your creativity (as appropriate to your field)
- List of names and contact details for two references familiar with your academic and/or creative work

Selection and Award Details
Selection will be made on the basis of creative merit and commitment to Women’s Studies. There is no financial need-based component. The scholarship will be $350 and may be used for any costs related to the recipient’s education at ISU. The scholarship winner will be announced July 31st.
