Payment Information

Counseling sessions can be paid for by cash or check at the beginning of each session. We do not bill insurance, nor do we accept credit cards.

Facilities

The ISU Boise Center Department of Counseling offers individual, couple, and family counseling in pleasant, calming, and private atmosphere. Counseling is provided by graduate students who are second- or third-year counseling interns* under the supervision of licensed counselors/ faculty members.

*For training purposes, internship students videotape counseling sessions. At the client’s request, the camera can be focused solely on the counselor. These tapes may be reviewed by faculty supervisors and, occasionally, by other counseling graduate interns. These videos are made both to insure the quality of care being provided and to train master’s level counselors. All tapes are held confidential within legal limits and will be erased after supervision.

Benefits to Students

Our graduate students not only offer excellent and low cost counseling for both the ISU and greater communities, but also gain valuable in-house experience under the supervision of licensed faculty members.

Professional Service Contributions

ISU Department of Counseling students also offer excellent counseling services to our commnity as interns in numerous counseling agencies throughout the Treasure Valley. Only a few examples include:

Faculty & Staff
