Armed Forces Veterans Clubs

Purpose and Mission

The purpose of this organization is to establish and strengthen friendships between veterans of the armed forces and students, to promote the intellectual development of its members, to advance and promote recognition of nationally recognized veterans’ holidays, and to review and explore educational opportunities and benefits that exist for current and potential veterans of the armed forces.

Marcus Nelson, President

Idaho Falls Officers –

Dustin Mortimer, President

Dustin has returned as the club president for the third year. He recently graduated from Idaho State University with a BBA in Management. He is continuing his education in a Masters of Business Administration program. He served in the US Army, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. He was deployed in support of OIF I and III.

Vincent McHenry, Vice President

Vincent is returning as the Idaho Falls Vice President. He is working on an Environmental Science degree through both ISU and U of I. He hails from California and is enjoying Idaho. Vincent served in the United States Marine Corp.

Andrea Wach, Treasurer

Andrea is a military wife and avid supporter of the veterans. She received the Molly Pitcher award from the 1-148th Field Artillery Battalion 116th BCT in 2008. She is a student at Idaho State University majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education. Her husband, David, is preparing for his second deployment with the US Army National Guard in September 2010.

Chris Stine, Secretary

Chris helped start the Idaho Falls Armed Forces Veterans Club and has been a great supporter. He’s even dressed up as Santa Claus for a holiday carnival. He is working on a degree in Engineering. He served in the US Army, 542nd Maintenance Co and the 497th Trans. Company. He was deployed in support of OIF I and IV.
