What We Do
- We are a liaison between the news media and Idaho State University faculty and staff
- We provide news-writing services to the campus community and news releases to the media, including newspapers, radio, TV, magazines and electronic news venues.
- We publish internal and external publications for the University, including:
- News & Notes, the internal newsletter for faculty and staff
- Momentum, an update about ISU for state legislators and business, community and opinion leaders
- A variety of brochures, reports and other promotional materials including the President's Annual Report and ISU Foundation publications
- Outlook, a publication for alumni and friends of the University
- We have the capability to prepare video news releases for television broadcast.
- We produce radio news releases for radio broadcast.
- We air a weekly interview on KWIK 1240 AM radio, "Office of the President," which highlights outstanding people, programs, events, and research at Idaho State University.
- We coordinate press conferences.
- We provide personal and departmental media training to faculty and staff so university personnel are knowledgeable about what is newsworthy and how to publicize important University events and research.
- Photographic Services offers on-site and studio photography of faculty, staff and students for publicity use by the Office of University Relations. In addition, services are available to departments and individual faculty and staff members who require prints, digital images, and slides for instructional use or other approved University purposes.
- Idaho State University Press, established in 1967, publishes works on Idaho history and other Northwest topics, as well as works in fields ranging from philosophy to archaeology.
