University Identity Mark Usage
The identity mark must remain consistent to reinforce it as a visual extension of the university. In specifying the use of colors with printing firms, the following color formula should be given:
Pantone 150 Orange - Pantone 2645 Purple - Black
When printing the two- or three-color versions, it is recommended that a white, off-white or light gray paper or background be used. Any other color or value will alter the colors, producing an undesirable effect. The mark may be reversed as one color in white on a black or dark field.
Typography: For consistency, the typeface known as Caslon medium is required for departmental information on letterhead, envelopes, and business cards. Text typefaces that work well as text with the identity mark are Caslon, Century Schoolbook, Garamond, Goudy, Palatino, and Times.
Placement: The identity mark must not be altered in any way and should always be used in the proportion and configuration shown. Whenever possible, the mark should appear in a high position on any page. Placement will vary according to specific design needs. It should not be placed in proximity to distracting design elements and is not to be used with the university seal.
