Enrique's Journey Essay Content

Idaho State University 2008 Reading Project Essay Contest

Contest Rules & Guidelines

• An ASISU $100 award will be given to five ISU students.
• Essay must reflect a reading of Enrique's Journey by Sonia Nazario.
• FT degree seeking students enrolled as of Fall 2008 semester may submit an original essay.
• Submit an original essay on one of these topics:
  • Write an essay using Enrique's voice as an adult telling his child about his journey.
  • Write a letter to the President you feel will win the November 2008 election. Explain your position and possible solutions to challenges identified in "Enrique's Journey."
• Essay must be typed, using a standard 10 or 12 point font, double-spaced, with 1” margins.
• Essay may not exceed 1,200 words.
• Attach a cover page to the essay hard copy that includes the following information:
  • Student Name
  • Bengal ID Number
  • Class Standing
  • E-mail address
  • Local Phone number

Deadline:

Friday, October 10th, 2008 at Noon
