BULLY:  A Children’s Readers’ Theatre – By: Judith Caseley
Beverly B. Bistline Theatre
January 30, 2012 @ 7:30p.m.

In today's culture, bullying has become a serious problem that needs to be consistently addressed. This children’s readers theatre, Judith Caseley explores the issue with sympathy and empathy while using plenty of humor and relatable experiences.  Whether young or old, audience members will relate to the problem and find this readers theatre practical and useful, and at the same time, entertaining.

Black Comedy – By:  Peter Shaffer
Rogers Black Box Theatre
February 10, 11, 16, 17 & 18, 2012 @ 7:30p.m.

Peter Shaffer’s Black Comedy is one of the most clever plays on a theatrical device ever written.  When a power blackout renders Brindsley Sheridan’s apartment dark, the lights come on for the audience – we get to see in the dark.  What follows is one of the grandest farces ever written, as Shaffer mixes broad physical comedy with character interaction.  Everything that can go wrong does, and we get to see it all!  This is, quite literally, one of the funniest plays you’ll ever see.

Into the Woods – Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim / Book by James Lapine

The main characters come from Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella  and they are tied together by James Lapine’s more original story involving a baker and his wife.  Sondheim and Lapine explore the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests  in this haunting yet charming musical.
