ISU and CSI Students Donate Books and Food to Lincoln Elementary School
ISU and CSI Education studentsworked together to provide books and healthy snacks for 1st and 2nd grade students at Lincoln Elementary School to enjoy over the Holidays. The ISU/CSI Read and Feed teamcollected donations of new or gently used books that were age appropriate (1st & 2nd grade level) and healthy snacks such as popcorn, pretzels, granola bars or other nonperishable treats. The books and snacks were presented to each child in an ISU/CSI drawstring backpack before the kids left school for the Christmas break.
Letter of Thanks: Generosity from CSI and ISU
Times News-December 17, 2011
I am writing this letter of thanks on behalf of Lincoln Elementary School.
The College of Southern Idaho and Idaho State University Education Departments pooled their volunteer efforts to provide our first- and second-grade students with books and healthy snacks. The college students and their professors collected books and snacks and purchased book bags for more than 150 students. They came to our school and gave an assembly where a story was read and the bags were handed out to the elementary students.
This was a very thoughtful and generous activity, and our students, parents and staff thank CSI and ISU for their efforts on our behalf.
