Renewable Energy II: Combustible
You might be shocked to learn about the diversity of ways electricity can be produced using renewable techniques. Southern Idaho’s renewable energy production capabilities are expanding.
Two days will be spent on combustion technologies. Hands-on activities will involve biodiesel and ethanol production, solar panel use, and hydrogen fuel experiments. We will visit sites around the area that produce combustion or electrical energy. The electrical producers include wind, geothermal, solar, hydrogen fuel cells, and hydroelectric.
