Student Insurance
Idaho State University is committed to promoting good health and meeting the medical needs of its students. To that end, we make available student health insurance. The Student Health Insurance Plan is meant to be an affordable, local option for their students and families to consider. Please review the following questions regarding your present insurance plan to assist you in making your decision in deciding to refund your student insurance.
Q. Are you sure you are covered by another adequate health insurance plan?
Q. How does my insurance plan cover out of state services?
Q. Did you know that ISU student insurance covers the cost of most laboratory, x-ray and special procedures at 100% if they are performed at the Student Health Center?
Q. Did you know that ISU student insurance will help with high deductibles on other insurance for services provided outside of the Student Health Center?
If after answering these questions, you still want to request an insurance refund. Please complete the insurance refund petition and mail to: ISU Student Health Insurance, 921 S. 8th, Stop 8375, Pocatello, ID 83209. This form must be completed by the refund deadline date (Fall, 2007 semester deadline September, 10, 2007.)
Your health insurance must be effective the first date of class and cannot be volunarilty canceled and enrollment must be continuous through the current academic year.
All student health insurance refunds are paid by the Student Health Insurance Carrier and are mailed to address listed on the student health insurance refund petition. If student has an outstanding ISU Fee Loan, the insurance premium will be applied to the ISU Fee Loan rather than being sent to the student.
