Hello and welcome to the Idaho State University Anime Club. The purpose of Anime Club is to promote Anime! If you're not familiar with anime, you're probably asking, "What is ANIME"?

"ANIME" is the Japanese word for "animation" and is specificly reserved in the English language to describing the Japanese style of drawing and graphics. Anime has various genres ranging from romance and action dramas to documentaries and traditional fable storytelling. Anime can be anything from TV show episodes to high quality 3D films.

Since we promote Anime our club is specificly for Anime fans, though we are also open to all students interested in Japanese manga or other Japanese art forms. We get together to watch Anime each week, either a movie or a few episodes; two of a series being watched through the semester and the first two of another series.

Despite early American belief, Anime is not just for children; given the correct anime style and genre any person can enjoy Anime. In this belief we try to watch different genres each week to open members to Anime they would never watch own their own.
