Sports Clubs
All recognized sport clubs are subject to the same rules and responsibilities
as any other ISU student organization. Once recognized as a current student
organization, the administration of ISU Sport Clubs will be through the
Office of Campus Recreation and the Sport Club Council.
The Sport Club Council serves to represent the interests
of all sport clubs at ISU. Therefore it is necessary for all clubs to
take an active part in the Council. The Sport Club Council is designed
to promote participation in the Sport Club program, update the Council
on individual club activities, assist in development of sport club policy,
keep the Student Organizations Office informed of club activities, and
other matters.
Each recognized Sport Club will have one student representative on the
Council. These student representatives will elect a chairperson for the
Council. The Assistant Director of Campus Recreation will work with the
chair of the Sport Club Council in the administration of all sport clubs
and upholding policies. The Sport Club Council meets monthly during the
academic school year.
Questions concerning the Sport Club Council should be
directed to the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation at 282-5426.
