Paul Zmolek has served on faculty at various universities and professional academies throughout the U.S. He founded and directed Thick Dance/Theatre in San Francisco, Omulu Capoeira Sul in L.A. and Callous Physical Theatre in Tacoma. Recipient of the Margaret K. Williams Award for Excellence in the Arts and the AMOCAT Award for Arts Outreach, Paul's work was produced in the prestigious San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival and International Taiko Festival. Highlights of his performance career with Tandy Beal & Company, S.F. Moving Company, June Watanabe Dance Company and Lily Cai Chinese Dance include creating title roles for the world premieres of three Frank Zappa ballets and performing in works by Paul Taylor and Anna Sokolow.
