Practicum Description: BSW Social Work Students from ISU are required to complete 400 hours of field education. Depending on student and agency preference, students may either complete a Block placement (400 hours; one 16 week semester; 25 hours per week) or a Concurrent placement (200 hours; two 16 week semesters; 12.5 hours per week). Students should receive one hour of weekly supervision by a licensed BSW or MSW with two years post degree experience. Field practicum agencies are expected to provide students with a general list practice experience.
