Open Scholarships List

This is a list of scholarship opportunities (primarily for current/continuing students at ISU) that are currently open for application. Here you'll find brief descriptions of each scholarship opportunity with links to downloadable PDF files (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print) containing detailed announcements and application forms. As soon as we find out about an opportunity, we will post it here. The bulk of our scholarships for current/continuing students come available in the Spring months for awarding in the next academic year, however you will see some open up at other times during the year. We encourage you to check this list often.

American Business Women Association-EE-DA-HOW Charter Chapter Scholarship - Fall 2013 Award, Any College of Technology or Academic Major, Need is required, Preference is given to Female Students, Must be an Idaho Resident and a U.S. Citizen.
Two $2,000 (2.5 GPA Required, Sophomore Class Level)

Army ROTC Scholarship Program - Always Open - Scholarship benefits awarded up to annual amounts equal to tuition and allowable fees, plus allowances for books and living expenses. There is an obligation to accept a commission in the US Army, National Guard, or US Army Reserve if awarded this scholarship.

AES Engineering Solutions Scholarship - 2013/14 Academic Year, Any Major (Engineering courses not required), Class Level: high school seniors and all students attending a post-secondary educational facility, Must be Full-time, 1000 word essay (topic listed on website).

ASISU - Fall 2013 Semester - Sophomore, Junior, Senior, and Graduate students. Must have completed 26 credit hours by the end of current semester, Applications will be considered for award by your College of Record (your primary major), 2.75 min. GPA for Undergraduate students, 3.0 min GPA for Graduate students.

BigSun Organization Scholarship - The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. In order to do our part we are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. The student must be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute.

Future Counselors of America Scholarship - Annual scholarship awards $1,000 to U.S. undergraduates and graduates majoring in Psychology who seek a career in relationship counseling or a related field. Applicants will be judged based on academic achievement (minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA) and a minimum 500- to maximum 900-word essay entitled "The Psychology of Online Dating." The essay should address the psychological issues and challenges facing singles given the growing popularity of online dating, and how relationship professionals can help online daters navigate these challenges.

Idaho's Fifth Greatest Fly Fisherman Scholarship - Fall 2013, any major and class level, must be a full-time student and a minimum GPA of 2.0, must be an Idaho resident. Preference goes to be ½ consideration to Fremont County Residents, ½ consideration for Political Science Majors.

Idaho Association of Realtors Scholarship - $750 scholarship, must be in your second year or higher of college. High school seniors will be considered if there are no other applicants. ISU Alumni Association Board of Directors Memorial Scholarship - Fall 2013 award, any major and an undergraduate class level. Minerva Beauty, Inc. Scholarship for Cosmetology Students - Five (5) $1,000 scholarships awarded; Student must have completed at least one semester, or one graded cycle. The Minerva Beauty Scholarship is offered to current students of an accredited cosmetology program who have completed a minimum of one semester and maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Roger Community Volunteer Scholarship - 1 award at $500, attending school full time during fall 2013 and enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, must have a minimum of 10 hours of non-paid volunteer service within your community in the last 12 months, must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church Scholarship - Fall 2013, any major or class level, must be enrolled full-time, have a minimum GPA of 2.00 for undergraduates and 3.00 for graduate students. Preference is to students with Hispanic origins who are members of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

Sergeant Blake Stephens Scholarship - Spring 2014, Any major and class level, must be an ISU student who have served in the United States Military or ROTC. Southeast Idaho Wildland Firefighter Scholarship - 2013/2014 Academic Year, any major and class level. Must be employed as seasonal or permanent by Bureau of Land Management as a Wildland Firefighter in the Southeastern Idaho District of the BLM during the most recent fire season prior to the award. Provide proof of employment. Must be enrolled full-time, and have a minimum GPA of a 2.50.

TYLENOL Future Care Scholarship - This scholarship is for future healthcare professionals, for someone committed to a career of caring. Awarding $250,000 in scholarships to forty future healthcare professions. Ten applicants will receive $10,000 and thirty applicants will receive $5,000. Awards will be announced August 31, 2013. ASCO Numatics - Engineering Scholarship - 2013/2014 Academic Year. Engineering Scholarship for students who are pursuing careers in industrial automation-related disciplines. Scholarship recipients may also be eligible for an ASCO Numatics internship. Must have completed at least your sophomore year and enrolled as a full-time student. Must have a minimum GPA of a 3.2 and be a U.S. citizen or legal U.S. resident.
