Open Scholarships List

This is a list of scholarship opportunities (primarily for current/continuing students at ISU) that are currently open for application. Here you'll find brief descriptions of each scholarship opportunity with links to downloadable PDF files (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print) containing detailed announcements and application forms. As soon as we find out about an opportunity, we will post it here. The bulk of our scholarships for current/continuing students come available in the Spring months for awarding in the next academic year, however you will see some open up at other times during the year. We encourage you to check this list often.

Miscellaneous or Multiple Majors

• American Indian Services - Summer 2008 Semester (Classes starting in June) - Native American undergraduate students with minimum 2.25 cumulative gpa - Deadline - 05/15/08

• Army ROTC Scholarship Program - Always Open - Scholarship benefits awarded up to annual amounts equal to tuition and allowable fees, plus allowances for books and living expenses. There is an obligation to accept a commission in the US Army, National Guard, or US Army Reserve if awarded this scholarship.

• Corrigan, Karen L. Smith - Number and amount of award depends upon funding levels - Fall 2008 Semester - Must be a full-time Junior, Senior, or Graduate student majoring in Business, Communications, or Journalism with a minimum 3.00 cumulative gpa - First preference to women. If no female applicant meets the qualifications, then award is available to any qualifying student at ISU - Financial need is not required - Deadline - 05/17/08

• Women's Studies Program: Scholarship to Support Creative Women - $500 available to award - Fall 2008 Semester - Must be a female student with a minimum 2.50 cumulative gpa who has declared a minor in Women's Studies and who shows creativity in academic pursuits. Although the "arts" have been the main focus; broadly defined to include, but are not limited to, visual and 3-D arts (e.g. painting, pottery, metal work, sculpture, etc), folk-based fine arts (e.g. weaving, beading, book-making, etc., performing arts (e.g., voice, theater, dance, musical instrument, etc.), and creative writing (e.g. poetry, fiction, playwriting, etc.) we welcome entries from any woman who has found a unique and creative way to pursue her research or academic goals - Must address the relationship between art and interest in the field of Women's Studies and provide two samples of artistic work- Deadline - 06/30/08
