Business Education Majors Paula Rankin Memorial - Awarded to a Business Education major doing their student teaching with preference to a single parent with financial need. Include two faculty recommendations. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Opens for application in December.
Education Majors Ruth Robison Chandler - One scholarship awarded annually to a fourth or fifth year undergraduate Education major who shows potential for becoming an outstanding teacher. Preference given to students with the greatest financial need. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Opens for application in December.
Education Majors Daugherty Foundation - One or more scholarships offered annually to Education majors at Junior level or above (including graduate students) pursuing an Elementary or Secondary Education major. Minimum 3.50 cumulative gpa required. Must be an Idaho resident. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Opens for application in December.
Education Majors Distinguished Teacher - One or more scholarships awarded to students admitted to the Teacher Education program in ISU's College of Education. To be considered, a candidate must submit evidence establishing himself/herself as a potential distinguished teacher. Evidence can include, but is not limited to, a portfolio of work, video tape of actual teaching methods and procedures, actual lesson plans, pre- and post-test evaluations, or letters of recommendation from administrators or supervisors. Education Majors Edna Dursteler – Recipients must be an education major who is full-time (12 credits undergraduate, 9 credits graduate). Must maintain a 2.0 minimum GPA for undergraduates or 3.0 minimum for graduate students. Recipients must be preparing to be teachers. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Education Majors Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Native American in Education - Student must be an enrolled Native American in the Shoshone/Bannock tribes and be an undergraduate Education major with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Education Majors Gates Minority & International Future Educators - Scholarship for undergraduate Education students who are in one of the under-represented ethnic groups or international students who demonstrate commitment to their academic program and the profession of teaching. Idaho Education Incentive Loan Forgiveness Program - Eligible students are those who (1) are within the upper 15% of the graduating class or have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average, (2) have been formally admitted into the Teacher Education program & (3) are pursuing a program of study qualifying the student to receive an Idaho teaching certificate. Education Majors must pursue a teaching career within the State of Idaho for a minimum of two years upon obtaining a teaching certificate. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Education Majors Idaho Falls Retired Teacher Association – Applicants must be Juniors who will be at Senior level at the time of the award. Students must be full-time (12 credits) and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. Financial need is required. Preference will be given to persons from Bonneville, Jefferson, Bingham, Madison, Butte, or Teton counties who are planning to teach in Idaho. Opens for application in February. Education Majors Peter D. Kole/Richard Bowen - Scholarship awarded to Juniors or Seniors who are doing their student teaching. Preference to applicants who are children of single parents, single parents with children, or non-traditional students. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Education Majors Kole/Hedeen - Award shall be given to full-time (12 credits) Juniors or Seniors in the College of Education who demonstrate a high to moderate level of financial need. Education Majors Peter Kole/Eleanore Loscalzo - Award shall be given to full-time (12 credits) Juniors or Seniors in the College of Education who demonstrate a high to moderate level of financial need. Education Majors Peter C. Kole/Donald J. Sampson - Scholarship awarded to Juniors or Seniors with first preference to those doing their student teaching during the award period. Education Majors Billie McNabb & Margaret F. Miller – Award shall be given to a student completing his/her student teaching at an elementary, middle, or junior high school. Recipient must demonstrate financial need. As long as students are in good standing with ISU, GPA is not an important consideration in selection. Applicants shall submit a letter of reference, preferably from an educator, accompanied with a statement addressing why they have chosen to work as an educator. Education Majors Donald L. & Helen Doering Nielson Fellowship - Fellowship designed to award a full-time Junior, Senior, or Graduate student majoring in Education and planning to teach within a predominantly Native American Community. Preference to Native American students from Fort Hall, Idaho. Award is renewable for a maximum of three years. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Opens for application in December.

Education Majors Richard L. & Donna J. Sagness Excellence in Teaching - Awarded to full-time students with a minimum 2.00 cumulative gpa. Preference to women who are head-of-households and/or displaced homemakers who have demonstrated commitment to their academic studies. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Education Majors Robert "Dutch" Sherman Memorial - Scholarship awarded to students enrolled in the Teacher Education program with a minimum 2.50 cumulative gpa. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Opens for application in December.
Education Majors Nannette & Gail Sieman Early Childhood – Recipients must have been accepted into the College of Education’s early Childhood/Early Childhood Special Education program. Priority given to a senior student. In addition to the standard scholarship application, the applicant must complete a letter of application to include reason(s) for application and case for receiving this award accompanied by a letter of recommendation from a third party, not a family member. Education Majors Marian A. Toombs - Awarded to a current sophomore majoring in Education with a minimum 2.50 cumulative gpa attending full-time. Must be an Idaho Resident. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Opens for application in December.
Education Majors Della & Reuben Ward - Awarded to a full-time student with a minimum 2.00 cumulative gpa. Must be an Idaho Resident with preference to students from Malta and Albion, Idaho. Education Majors June M. Wilson - Scholarship awarded to Junior or Senior Education majors with a minimum 3.00 cumulative gpa. Preference given to students from the Magic Valley area; particularly from Hansen, Kimberly, or Murtaugh. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Education Majors Zobell-Albion - Awarded annually to an undergraduate Education major who shows evidence of self motivation, creative ability, & leadership. Demonstrate potential of becoming an outstanding meritorious teacher. Minimum 3.00 cumulative gpa required and Non-Residents are eligible. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Education Majors; Female Clark-Seddon Award shall be given to a female student enrolled in the teacher education program. Preference will be given to Idaho residents. Requires major to be in either elementary education or secondary education with emphasis in biology, music, or business education. Recipients must be full-time (12 credits). Applicants shall submit a letter of reference, preferably from an educator, accompanied with a statement addressing why they have chosen to work as an educator. Elementary Education Majors Frances E. Satterwhite Memorial - Scholarship awarded to a Junior or Senior admitted to the Teacher Education Program with at least a 3.00 cumulative gpa. Preference will be given to Elementary Education majors who are single parents from the Magic Valley Area. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Opens for application in December.

Family & Consumer Sciences Majors Jeannette Rowe Memorial - Awarded to Jr., Sr., or PB majoring in Dietetics or Family and Consumer Sciences with a minimum 2.00 cumulative gpa who are members of Phi Upsilon Omicron (Phi U). Opens for application in March.
Teacher Education Majors Ted Earl Memorial - One scholarship awarded to Idaho residents majoring in Teacher Education who are Juniors or Seniors & have financial need. Student not receiving other awards are given preference. Apply using the Combined Education Application. Opens for application in December.
Teacher Education Program; Jr or Sr Jerry J & Elner C Bellon/Babe Caccia – Applicants must be enrolled in a Teacher Education Program at the Junior or Senior level. Must demonstrate financial need. Must be Idaho Residents. Statement should address your reasons for pursuing a degree in Education and your opinion on the most important issues in Education today. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate their leadership abilities through employment and/or involvement in community service or student organizations; and whose written statement reflects social conscience and respect for diversity. Preference will also be given to students who are committed to working with children beyond traditional instructional settings, e.g. co-curricular activities, clubs, and special programs. Specifically for Caccia: Students pursuing coaching in educational settings, or those who have made coaching and interscholastic athletics an important part of their goals and objectives. Student Athletes who have completed their eligibility and are within 30 hours of graduation from the teacher preparation program. Opens for application in January. Check the “Open Scholarship” page.
