Student Tuition and Fees & Graduate Research Assistant Tuition Subsidy Rates

The ISU Fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. These rates change and are update on an annual basis so be sure to check with the Division of Research Development for updates. When building your budget, increase the subsidy by 7% for each subsequent year to account for inflation.

Graduate Research Assistants – GRA's, TA's, and RA's

All grant funded GRA’s, TA’s, RA’s and GA’s must be given tuition and health insurance subsidy and are given an automatic out-of-state waiver. NOTE: Cannot fund a partial student research assistant with a grant.

All grant funded GRA's, TA's, RA's must come with tuition and health insurance.
Increase By 7% each subsequent year to account for inflation

FY 2013-2014: Graduate Student tuition + Health Insurance: $9,500/yr ($4,750/semester), and $347/summer credit hour.

FY 2014-2015: Graduate Student tuition + Health Insurance: Approx $10165 per year ($5083 per semester), and Approx $371 per summer credit hour.

Graduate Tuition and Fees for Residents

Full-time (9 Credits or more): $7,472/year or $3,736/semester
Part-time (8 Credits or less): $374/credit

Graduate Tuition and Fees for Non-Residents

Full-time (9 Credits or more): $19,804/year or $9,902/semester
Part-time (8 Credits or less): $574/credit

Undergraduate Tuition and Fees for Residents

Full-time (12 Credits or more): $6,344/year or $3,172/semester
Part-time at Full-time rate (10 or 11 credits): $6,344/year or $3,172/semester
Part-time (9 Credits or less): $317/credit

Undergraduate Tuition and Fees for Non-Residents

Full-time (9 Credits or more): $18,676/year or $9,338/semester
WUE Full-time (12 or mroe credits with a WUE Award): $4,758/semester
Part-time (8 Credits or less): $517/credit

Student Health Insurance

Full Year: $2,028
Fall Only: $1,014
Spring and Summer: $1,014
SUmmer only: $507.00
College of Technology early or late 8-week session: $380.25
Student health insurance is charged to full-time students (12 total credits or 9 graduate credits) and international students taking 1 credit or more (Waiver available with documentation of personal coverage).
