Construction
Gov. Dirk Kempthorne signed a bill providing funding for state capital projects, including the Rendezvous Complex, on April 9, 2001, while he was visiting the ISU Pocatello campus.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Rendezvous Complex was held July 15, 2003, at the site of the current building, and included representatives from the State Board and the Governor. Construction started right away, and was completed in August 2007.
The total budget for the 255,000-square-foot Rendezvous was approximately $43.5 million, as provided by the State Permanent Building Fund Advisory Council, student housing fees, and bonding reserves. It is the second largest building on campus, after Holt Arena.
