FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION
checkbox Remain calm.
checkbox Turn on your cellular phone.
checkbox If situation warrants evacuation of your building, coordinate evacuation with Public Safety. See Section 8.2 of the Emergency Response Plan on Evacuation Procedures.  Do not go to the incident site.
checkbox If your office or building is not affected, go to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). (If unable to report to EOC, call Dispatch at 208-282-2515.) Check in with the Planning Section and set up the Damage Assessment position.
checkbox Coordinate with the Incident Commander and Operations Coordinator to determine their priorities for the initial building inspections and develop a priority list; also determine if it is safe for the inspectors.
checkbox Coordinate with the Operations Coordinator to assign the Building and Utility teams and schedule inspections of the buildings, ensuring they are provided with safety and personal protective equipment.
checkbox Receive reports and keep files on damaged buildings.
checkbox Forward copies of reports and information to FEMA Documentation.
checkbox Post and secure damaged buildings and recommend emergency repairs.
checkbox Contact utility and contracted resources as needed for special areas.
checkbox Identify and categorize specific locations of damage and amounts of loss, updating as necessary; provide the reports to the Incident Commander, the Planning Coordinator and Situation Status.
checkbox Obtain copies of all field inspection reports; establish files by site location; keep and maintain originals of all reports and other documentation of ISU damage and losses by site location.
checkbox Assess repair and restoration costs; provide assessments to the Planning Coordinator; update as more information is received.
checkbox Provide information, recommendations, and assistance to the Planning Coordinator for the After Action Report.
checkbox Support Finance Coordinator with the FEMA disaster assistance application process.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
checkbox Assign teams to make the initial damage inspections, coordinating with the Operations Section.
checkbox Recommend emergency repairs.
checkbox Maintain complete records of all damage and losses, by site location.
checkbox Assess repair and restoration costs.
checkbox Provide contract management for all emergency repair contracts.

 

SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES
checkbox Assist the Public Information Officer with damage assessment information.
checkbox Assist the Operations Coordinator with inspections and field operations.
checkbox Assist the FEMA application process.
