Position SPACE & ENERGEY MANAGER FACILITY SERVICES
Section MANAGEMENT/COMMAND SUPPORT

 

FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION
checkbox Remain calm.
checkbox Turn on your cellular phone.
checkbox If situation warrants evacuation of your building, coordinate evacuation with Public Safety. See Section 8.2 of the Emergency Response Plan on Evacuation Procedures.  Do not go to the incident site.
checkbox If your office or building is not affected, go to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). (If unable to report to EOC, call Dispatch at 208-282-2515.)
checkbox Communicate with the Incident Commander and other section officers to determine:
  checkboxThe extent and nature of the emergency.
  checkboxAre outside agencies responding (e.g., fire, medical)?
  checkboxWhat location will be used for receiving and staging responding agencies?
  checkboxWhat will be the communication and coordination frequency used?
  checkboxWill mutual aid be requested?
checkbox Notify responding outside agencies where to check in and the staging location.
checkbox Identify agency representatives from each agency including the Communications link and their location.
checkbox Monitor the incident operations to identify what might be potential interorganizational problems.
checkbox Provide the Incident Commander with status reports concerning the arrival times of responding agencies, number of personnel responding, and the type of resources expected.
checkbox Maintain a unit log.
checkbox Provide information to other Section officers on the number and type of resources coming to the campus to assist with the emergency.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
checkbox Provide a point of contact for assisting mutual aid agency representatives.
checkbox Provide information and maintain a liaison with other public and private agencies.

 


checkbox Outside agency issues:
  checkboxResponding agencies have protocols that are specific to their agency and communication must be established and maintained to ensure that efforts are not going at cross-purposes.
checkbox Extended operations:
  checkboxSome incidents could extend for several hours or days. The Liaison Officer must determine the continued availability of the resources and arrange for long-term stays.
