Two Assistant Professor positions
The Psychology Department at Idaho State University invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Psychology at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2015. Clinical: The clinical position requires a PhD from an APA accredited clinical psychology program. Clinical and research expertise focusing on children/adolescents and/or areas complementary to existing faculty preferred. Candidates should also have interest in teaching ethics and/or assessment courses and be license eligible in Idaho. Experimental: Applicants with expertise in cognitive psychology or sensation and perception preferred. Candidates should also have interest in teaching statistics and/or research methods. All applicants should have strong research scholarship, an intention to seek external funding, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship of students. Idaho State University offers a BS in psychology, a PhD in general experimental psychology, and an APA accredited PhD in clinical psychology (scientist-practitioner model). The position requires a PhD from an APA accredited clinical psychology program, previous teaching and clinical supervision experience, and clinical and research expertise in areas complementary to existing faculty. The successful candidate will direct the clinical PhD program, establish a research program, mentor graduate student research and clinical training, instruct courses (reduced load), and attain Idaho licensure.
