Prospective Applicants:

Thank you for your interest in Idaho State University's graduate programs in psychology.  Idaho State University offers two graduate degree programs in Psychology: The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology and the Master of Science (M.S.) in General/Experimental Psychology. Each of these programs are described on the departmental web pages, along with faculty information and general information about the university and region.


Clinical Admissions Applicants
Fall Semester Admissions Only

Deadline for Admissions - January 1st

Updated clinical application packets are available online by September 15th each year.  Please open, complete, and print each of the following forms.  Submit your forms as instructed along with requested accompanying material.

The Checklist is designed to assist you in monitoring your completion of all application tasks. It does not need to be submitted to us. The Department’s Supplemental Application Form must be mailed to the Department along with your vita and essay as indicated on the form. The top portion of the Letter of Recommendation Form needs to be completed by you. One recommendation form needs to be submitted to each of three letter writers. As indicated on the Department’s Supplemental Application Form, completed recommendation letters may be submitted directly to the department or enclosed together with other application materials.
 
Remember, an online application to the Graduate School is only the first step.  You must also apply to the Psychology Department as indicated above.

Experimental Admissions Applicants
Deadlines for Admissions:  
Spring Admissions: November 1st
Fall Admissions: March 1st

Individuals who wish to apply for the MS degree for Experimental Psychology should follow all application steps described above for the clinical degree. Note, however, that the deadlines for admissions are different, and that there are two dates for consideration.
