- Friday, September 28, 2007, at 2 p.m. — Health Education Building Grand Opening – President Vailas attended the opening of the new Health Education Building, a joint ISU-Eastern Idaho Technical College facility, in Idaho Falls on the EITC campus.
- Tuesday, September 25, 2007 — Fall Student Assembly – President Vailas met with students to answer their questions and discuss important issues with them in the Planetarium of the Rendezvous Complex.
- Tuesday, September 25, 2007 — "ISU in Motion" Radio Show Taping – President Vailas taped the first program of the fall semester of "ISU in Motion," a radio show hosted by the president to inform the community and promote the University's programs and people. President Vailas interviewed Professor Jeffrey Rosentreter and Moises Moreno, a student in the chemistry program. Dr. Rosentreter has helped develop a new “real-time” method of detecting cyanide in drinking water and other water sources.
- Friday and Saturday, September 21-22, 2007 — Sports Hall of Fame Reception, Luncheon and Ceremony – President Vailas recognized the 2007 inductees of ISU's Sports Hall of Fame.

- July 5, 2006 — Presidential Address – Dr. Arthur C. Vailas gave his first presidential address at Idaho State University in a general assembly for all students, faculty and staff.
