H. Possession of Firearms

No person shall have in their possession any firearms while on University property without authorization from the ISU Director of Public Safety. Staff and faculty members who have a need to bring firearms into the workplace must contact the Director of Public Safety. This does not include individuals authorized to carry firearms in their employment (law enforcement officers and private security guards), nor does this policy affect special events, such as on-campus gun shows.
