In addition, the President of the University (or a designated representative) may attend at his/her discretion.

a. Coordinates the flow of information about policy matters to the various groups represented in the body;
b. acts as a coordinating body when policy generated by the University committee requires discussion involving the various campus constituencies;
c. facilitates implementation of policy involving several constituencies.
The Coordinating Board:
a. Encourages the development of clear, thorough, and consistent policies by stimulating collegial discussion and analysis of policy proposals.
b. Reduces considerably the time spent in referring policies that need to be discussed by various constituencies.

d. Opens up such differences as occur among the various constituencies to discussion and reconciliation in a single forum.
