WORK SCHEDULE:
Call is shared with 5 other PAs and consists of taking calls from patients with questions after hours, nursing units about inpatients, ER patients and other calls from the answering service. The NS will provide an adequate orientation period before the PA is taking call plus they always provide back-up. New PAs will have increased call for the first 3 months (one week of call for every 4 weeks, or q4) in order to get them up to speed with the electronic medical records, hospital systems, etc. From 3-6 months it will be q5 and then q7 thereafter. QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from approved school for Physician Assistants. Colorado PA license (or eligible for Colorado License). Certification is required (as maintenance criteria).
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
No experience required but prior neurosurgical or orthopedic spine work is preferred.
SUMMARY OF PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT JOB DUTIES:
- Rounds on hospital based patients
- Assist Neurosurgeon in Surgery
- Evaluates new patients in hospital, ER and office
- Executes basic surgical procedures, suturing of simple lacerations, and in-office surgical removal of skin lesions.
- Conducts physical examinations and dictates discharge summaries and clinic notes
- Bears responsibility for identifying and evaluating illnesses.
- Diagnoses, treats, and manages the health care needs of clients referring to physicians when medically appropriate.
- Fulfills duties involved in selecting laboratory tests, interprets, and evaluates laboratory results.
- Compiles and evaluates medical history, physical findings and diagnostic data to include but not limited to radiographic, laboratory, ultrasound, Doppler studies, EKG, EEG, CT and nuclear scans, MRI and MRA studies on all clients.
- Monitors medications and initiates appropriate therapies for certain conditions and alters medications according to variations in a patients response within established protocols.
- Provides and documents patient education regarding treatments, medications, and community resources.
- Coordinates the implementation and continuity of medical treatment through activities such as home/hospital findings and other resources.
- Refers to other health care providers in accordance with the needs of the clients.
- Assists with telephone triage and calls patients back for questions, medication refills (during normal business hours only), etc

Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overall performance of the Testing and Composite Manufacturing groups including multiple shifts sometimes running 24/7. He/she is responsible for setting and coordinating overall productivity, policies and procedures, safety, budgets, and goals for these groups. He/she works directly with the group supervisors to implement department systems, procedures and to forecast resource requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with the General Manager to coordinate the Company's manufacturing operations including Machine Shop, Composite's Fabrication and Assembly, and Material Control activities to maintain and improve the Company's competitive position and profitability. Supporting the development of existing and new business through the preparation of cost control reports, cost estimates, manpower, and facilities requirement forecasts Develops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, and production costs. Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products. Establishes production and quality control standards, develops cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs. Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
Coordinates activities with all functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports. Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives. Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with all company policies and procedures, and customer specifications and requirements. Shall provide leadership and direction for all production departments including budgets, staffing, training and development, and generation of related policies and procedures. Work directly with program managers to ensure that schedules are appropriate to requirements on timing and budget.

Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes (Autoclave, Press form, VARTM, RTM)
Aerospace Experience and Composite Fabrication Experience required.
Experience with process modeling, tooling design, and state of the art composite manufacturing techniques.
Strong experience managing the production of advanced composite materials in a continuous process environment for aerospace applications required.
Strong experience with prototype to production migration process development.
Competent knowledge of material types, composite parts manufacturing, and industrial processes. Blue Print reading and comprehension a must, and experience with ANSI Y14.5 (Geometric Tolerance).
Track record of maintaining strong customer satisfaction from an Operations perspective required, as evidenced by strong performance in the areas of quality and on time delivery of product.
Experience successfully addressing issues in a timely fashion that may arise such as product quality and delivery schedules are including developing recovery plans when necessary.
