Cross Country Skiing in Yellowstone
There’s plenty of snow on the ground so we’re going XC skiing in Yellowstone National Park, December 5 & 6 for the weekend.
Enjoy the beauty of Yellowstone National Park skiing along the Madison River with
the swans, geese, ducks, eagles, and buffalo.
We will also ski on the world famous Rendezvous Ski Trails. Trip fee includes lodging, transportation, and ski pass.
XC ski rental rates are available to ISU students and staff from the Outdoor Adventure Rentals.
This is a beginner friendly outing.
Space is limited to 10, so sign up soon.
ISU Student $35; ISU Affiliate $50 The trip cost does not include ski rentals.

Yurt and Cabin Rentals open for the season
The Portneuf Range Yurt System and Camp Taylor Cabin rentals open Friday, November 20, 2015. Stop by the OAC office or call 208-282-3912 to make your reservation.
ATTENTION!! New changes made in cooking stove and lantern at the yurts.
Be warned that the cooking stove and lantern at all the yurts no longer use white gas. You will need to bring Coleman 16.4 ounce propane cylinders instead of white gas this season .
The Caribou-Targhee National Forest Westside Ranger District recently made available color road and trail maps. The maps include contour lines, water features, mileage, trailheads, gates, and forest road access. The maps indicate the season of use for motorized and non-motorized trails. These maps will help meet visitors' expectations for accurate trail information.
The City Creek Management Area (CCMA) is managed as a joint venture between the City of Pocatello and the City Creek Trail Users Group. The CCMA contains close to 50 miles of exceptional hiking and mountain biking trails.

The Portneuf Range Yurt System has added a new yurt for your winter adventures. The Bonneville Yurt is located in the Big Canyon area in the shadow of Mount Bonneville. The map below gives you the general location of all five yurts in the system.
