CW HOG Events
Our trips are based upon the "Cooperative Adventure" principle. There are no paid guides. All participants share in the planning, decision making, expense, and execution of the adventure. Not only does this make the trip more affordable, it enhances the richness of the experience by involving everyone. All members of the group need to work together to make the trip fun and safe. Some of the activities we participate in are: whitewater rafting, water skiing, snow skiing, bowling, hot spring soaks, hay rides, and getting together for a social dinner. The online calendar provides a schedule of upcoming activities; details about activities are also posted in the OAC office.
We offer an adventurous summer session of Kid's Camp. The session consists of a week of day camps culminating with an overnight campout and a rafting trip down the Alpine stretch of the Snake River. Children will have the opportunity to experience the outdoors by participating in activities such as: horseback riding, water-skiing, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, sea kayaking, and scuba diving. Each day begins at 9:00 am in the CW HOG office on the Idaho State University campus. CW HOG staff, adult volunteers, and parents will assist the campers throughout the day. Parents can expect their camper to be exhausted from fun by 5:00 pm.
Kid's Camp is designed for children ages 7-14. To ensure sufficient supervision, enrollment is limited. Please send in your registration as soon as possible.
The cost for a Kid's Camp session is $250. This includes activities, lunch, transportation, equipment, and staff. Click here (.pdf file) 2011 Kids Camp registration form.
