The Pocatello Pump is hailed as one of the Northwest's oldest and friendliest climbing gatherings. There are categories for every climbing ability.

The Pump is held every fall on the basalt crags of Ross Park's Sunny Side and Ross Park's Shady Side. The Sunny Side hosts the more advanced climbers, the Shady Side hosts the recreational level climbers. Points are awarded for the difficulty of the climb as follows:
