Grant Period: June 2008 to June 2014

Purpose of Grant: The aim of the Northwest Rural Nurse Residency (NWRNR) is to provide transition to practice program access to 20% of the nation's 3.1 million nurses. The "residency in a box" idea empowers nurses in small critical access hospitals and small non-acute care agencies to provide increased patient care quality.

Title: Spatial and Census Data to Evaluate Obese Persons and their Environment (SCOPE)
Funding Agency: Research supported by the Mountain West Clinical Translational Research-Infrastructure Network under a grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number 1U54GM104944.
Grant Period: December 2013 to July 2014

Purpose: Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS), SCOPE will identify and couple geospatial data elements necessary to evaluate the built environment and its relationship to obesity in rural and urban areas.
