| The School of Nursing faculty guide students'
understanding of nursing phenomena and the development of essential clinical,
research, management, and leadership skills. Faculty mentors are responsible
for helping students use nursing theories and research findings to advance
the discipline of nursing and improve patient care. They encourage students
to take leadership in providing quality nursing care, to use available
care resources wisely, and to improve health and nursing care systems.
Helping students use creative strategies in client care and make sound
professional judgments in various nursing contexts is a primary objective.
Skillful faculty guidance ultimately helps students develop their creative
talents and become responsible professional nurses and broadly educated
citizens. Pocatello Faculty: Emeritus
