Karen S. Neill, Ph.D., R.N., SANE-A
Dr. Karen Neill is a Professor of Nursing and Interim Assistant Director of Graduate Studies at Idaho State University School of Nursing in Pocatello, Idaho. Dr. Neill specializes in forensics, has authored published articles on domestic and/or sexual violence, and has presented in local, regional, national and international forums on violence and effective response. Dr. Neill holds a Governor’s appointment on the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victim Assistance (ICDVVA) and serves as the Chair of the ICDVVA Committee for Oversight of Domestic Violence Offender Intervention Program Standards. Dr. Neill has served as a Certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and consultant in Idaho for over ten years. She was appointed in 2009 to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Forensic Nursing. Dr. Neill is particularly interested in outcome measurement, evidence based and interprofessional practice, and leadership as these relate to forensic programs, collaborative service delivery, and effective response.
