Profile
Beverly Hewett, PhD, RN is an assistant clinical professor at Idaho State University School of Nursing. She has been a faculty member since 1992 and was the Learning Resource Center Coordinator until May 2009. She is the Coordinator of the Office of Professional Development (OPD) and is the primary investigator in a three year Health and Human Services Grant to increase nurse graduates' confidence and competence in the workplace.
Dr Hewett teaches at both the graduate and undergraduate programs. Her areas of interest are care of the elderly, simulation, and learner-centered learning, and rural healthcare.
She serves on the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Board of Directors as VP of Communications and the Pocatello Free Clinic Board. Dr. Hewett received her PhD in Adult Education from the University of Idaho.
