Dr. Gee completed his BS, Nursing at Montana State University; MS, Nursing at the University of Utah in Physiologic Nursing and Nursing Informatics; and his Ph.D in Nursing at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, University of California, Davis. Dr. Gee was a Doctoral Scholar at UC, Davis.

Dr. Gee is certified in professional Electronic Health Records (CPEHR). He currently has 4 peer reviewed publications in his area of research, evaluating perceptions, adoption, and use of electronic health records among the chronically ill. Dr. Gee has presented his research at the International Rural Health and Rural Nursing, Western Institute of Nursing (WIN), Gerontological Society of American, and Sigma Theta Tau International Conferences.

Dr. Gee has previous teaching experience at California State University, Chico; University of California, Davis; Simpson University, CA; and Shasta College, CA. He has taught in both undergraduate BSN and RN to BSN programs, teaching courses such as Adult Medical Surgical Nursing, Pathophysiology, Nursing Leadership, Clinical Simulation, and also at the graduate level courses such as Health Informatics. In addition, Dr. Gee has experience working in hospitals in clinical informatics, case manager home care, staff nurse in critical care, ICU, cardiac cath lab, flight/field nurse, and medical surgical nursing.
